50g ball of Black 100% pure British wool, 2-fold 4 ply. Lovely wool, perfect for a wide range of items . . . dolls' clothes, miniatures or something luxurious for yourself. Quality British wool ideal for knitting, crochet, craft etc. Brand new wool, wound on wool winder. No ball bands/labels.
This wool is good for felting! For smaller items, I knit it on 4mm needles then wash in the machine at 60 degrees. It shrinks beautifully giving a lovely felt. For larger items (bags, place mats, hats etc.) I knit the wool double on 7mm needles and then felt.
Washing instructions: To avoid shrinking and felting, handwash gently in cool water, re-shape while damp, dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
(I have tried to show the colours and thickness as accurately as possible in the photo. It looks accurate on my screen but all screens vary). I am happy to send a short length of any of my wools as a sample so that you can see the colour and texture before you decide. Just send me a SAE and let me know which yarns you would like a sample of).
